This 90-minute primer offers a foundational introduction to porn literacy using a neutral, media literacy framework. We move beyond pro- and anti-pornography debates to give youth the tools to critically analyze the sexually explicit media they may encounter. The workshop deconstructs pornography as a media product, highlights the stark differences between on-screen fantasy and real-world relationships, and introduces concepts of ethics and consent.

The goal of this facilitation is for participants to gain the skills and confidence necessary to navigate a digital world that contains pornography, AI and AI generated images, and any other explicit content. Our goal is not to dictate values but to reduce harm, promote critical thinking, and support youth in navigating their digital world with awareness and confidence.
