Reflecting on Our Forward Together Launch

In March, we hosted a launch event for the Central Oklahoma Teen Pregnancy Prevention Collaboration five-year Strategic Plan, Forward Together. And WOW, what an event!

We want to thank everyone who joined us on March 21st to celebrate this bold new vision for the future of youth sexual health. Whether you were there in person or cheering us on from afar, we could feel the community’s energy and belief in our mission. YOU helped make the strategic plan launch unforgettable.

We unveiled the Collaboration’s strategic plan for the next five years, Forward Together, with one big message: we’re not slowing down. In fact, we’re just getting started.

Honestly will be doubling down on the values that brought us here—youth leadership, the power of the collective, and the importance of listening first. The plan, which can be found here, outlines how honestly as the backbone organization and all partner organizations in the Collaboration will work toward collective impact and systems change.

Together, we’ll expand access to sexual health resources, deepen our programming with teens, families, and youth serving adults, and center the voices of young people every step of the way.

Highlights from the event included:

  • A powerful keynote from Dr. Lydia Nightingale, who stressed the importance of breaking silos and working together.
  • A dive into the plan’s collaborative structure, which is designed to be adaptable and operates using seven different levers to facilitate change.
  • And of course… some serious celebration. 🎉

This event wasn’t just a presentation—it was a promise. We’re committed to showing up, speaking truth, and supporting our partners as they build a future where all young people feel informed, supported, and empowered.

If you missed the event, don’t worry—we’ll be sharing more in the coming weeks, including ways to engage with the plan and the levers of change. If you want to get involved, we recommend reviewing those levers of change and ask yourself the following two questions:

  1. Where does my work already align with these activities or goals?
  2. What activities or goals am I interested in learning more about and potentially engaging with further?

Thank you again for being part of this moment with us. We all look forward to kickstarting a better future for Oklahoma!
